North Shore Boardriders is one of the longest running board riding clubs in Australia, having been founded in the late 60′s by a group of Redcliffe surfers. Members at that stage made the trip on weekends to camp and surf at North Coast beaches – thus the club name.
Today it boasts over 100 members ranging from grommets to veterans, participating in various club days on the Sunshine Coast, and numerous state wide competitions across the year.

Join us for a special day celebrating connection, confidence and community through surfing.
Delivered by North Shore Boardriders supported by Surfing Australia’s Play Our Way / RISE initiative, this event is designed to create more opportunities for women and girls to participate, connect and thrive in surfing and boardrider culture.
This event is proudly presented by India Robinson, alongside Sophie McCulloch, and hosted by Isabella Caldow.
Queen & Me is about creating an inclusive space to inspire the next generation of female surfers through shared experiences, mentoring, ocean connection and community. Whether you’re new to surfing, a current competitor, or simply looking to connect with other women and girls in the surf community, we’d love to have you join us.
